Development of Symphaty
The idea of creating dictionary rise in my mind, when i needed to translate word in Ubuntu,
but i didn't have any program but Stardict and similar software. I programed it in my free time and it need
still new functions and improve code. Thereby i accept any help in his next development and adding words to database.
Basic features of Symphaty:
- programmed in Perl
- Basic modules used:
- Tk - graphical interface
- DBI - work with database (SQLite)
- Config
- encoding - language encoding
- ActiveState:Browser - opens help in html form
- In database can save 10 slovak meanings to one english word
- There is database of irregular verbs and can search slovak meaning according past or passive of english word
- Interface for adding new words one by one or in batch from text file

- improve code
- add words
- improve graphical design
- translate words from clipboard
